I was recently prescribed this med for stomach problems. I didn't really want to take this, as it is an older type of antidepressant drug and I am concerned about the side affects. I also couldn't understand why the stomach specialist was prescribing this type of medicine for my problem. I started it once and stopped it and then he talked me into trying it for at least 2 weeks. It does seem to be helping my stomach somewhat but I don't care for the side affects. I woke up this morning with a Vertigo spell, have terrible dry-cotton mouth, constipation and am concerned that it will cause weight gain (this is listed as one of the side affects). I was just wondering if you could tell me what your experiences have been with this drug --- good, bad, etc. At this point, I really don't feel like the good outweighs the bad, but it's only been a week. I'm already on 2 other meds in addition to this one for acid reflux and stomach problems. I've had all the standard scans, blood work, and tests to rule out other serious conditions.
