I go to a uro gynecologist and have a pessary due to bladder prolapse from pregnancy.  Perhaps seeing this type of specialist can help you.

Re: Non-Stop Urination

[ Edited ]

I suffer from frequent UTIs and sometimes this is how they start (although not to that extreme) but mine always progress to pain.

I see you said your doc put you on Macrobid.  Did he do a culture on you to check for an infection or did he just put you on a prescription?  Whether I see my physician during office hours or go to an Express Clinic if it's after hours and I'm miserable, they always do a dip test right in the office to see if I test positive for an infection and then they give me a prescription.  Then they send the specimen out for a culture and determine if I need to change meds.  That has never happened.

Hopefully you were able to get an appointment today.

Ladies: Thanks for all ur replies. The doctor didn't do a culture - he just put me on the antibiotic when I said I'm urinating way too often. I called his office - and he's off today - and I'm sure part of next week. He's my primary care doctor - so I'm sure he'll send me for tests. I'm not in any pain - and, fortunately, I'm retired so I've been home. I'm hoping it's not something serious. Woman Surprised

@kivah, why not go to an emergi-med? A culture takes a few days to grow. I was placed on Bactrim recently and after the culture came back it showed resistance and the antibiotic needed to be changed. I had the same symptoms as yourself.

Be careful with UTI'S. They can spread to the kidneys and require hospitalization. I have been there..

OP - considering your history , IMO , your doctor should be doing a CT scan of your abd. to see what is going on in there.

A urologist is a good step as that is their specialty. Sometimes, a cystoscopy is done to see what is going on inside the bladder to cause the frequent urination. It may be minor or it might be something that can develop into a major problem of which frequent urination is a beginning sign.
