no, because for the most part, everything we put in our mouths is genetically modified--either naturally or by humans "weeding out" bad genes. If you doubt that, take a look at some of the foods (plant, mostly) eaten thousands of years ago.
I DO check the food I buy for things I don't want--for example, high fructose corn syrup, any ingredient that ends in "..ose" which means sugar in some form; certain kinds of carbs which I don't like anyway.
