Thank you for posting this...i knew about the first warning, but not this expanded one.  Of course I just finished my romaine dinner salad about 10 minute ago! LOL.  Better get some non-romaine greens for next week

We saw this on the evening news last week and again tonight.  I have been buying Dole iceburg lettuce and will continue to do so.  I stopped buying the precut bagged lettuce years ago.  Funny smell and taste.

Chick-fil-A had a note in their drive thru stating that they wouldn’t be serving romaine lettuce today.

 I ate romaine lettuce last Sunday at a restaurant and my stomach hurt right after lunch and I had to use the bathroom while I was there and at home multiple times.  I don’t know if it was the lettuce or something else in the salad.

Re: New update on Romaine lettuce E.Coli

Yesterday Walmart had signs up saying the lettuce they sell was not affected at all.

I bought the pre-packaged lettuce but it's all iceberg lettuce.  I don't know if I should throw it out.  Today I at at Olive Garden (salad) I assume it is OK.

My friend and I mainly only like to eat iceberg lettuce anyway.  We get frustrated when we go to Panera and all of the weird looking stuff they put in their salad.

She keep me laughing when she describes the various 'stuff' they put in the salads as 'something she cuts down in her yard'.

I have to admit some of it is really strange looking.  As I said, I like iceberg lettuce.

@Renata22 So I guess if someone gets sick, it's like, "Gee!  Too bad!  Sucks to be you".  Ugh!

How did any of this get started?

I am pretty confident that if my grocer thought the loose romaine they have out is a problem that they'd take it off the shelf like they did the packaged greens.

I've been eating the loose romaine for weeks and feel fine.

But if I suddenly disappear y'all might know why!

Same here!

I trust the grocer. If they sell it, I’m eating.

@QueenDanceALot, let’s do a ‘Thelma & Louise’ & eat the romaine!

See ‘ya on the other side!

I just stocked up on two pkgs (3 in each) of my romaine lettuce. Mine was grown and processed in CA. I'm not worried.
