Garlique formulas contain a whole lot of fillers I dont know if I would take them. Just my 2 cents. Have you read the ingredients deck?

Mangosteen supp is also very good for BP. This is really good for a lot of health issues, read up on it.

Coincidental that you posted this today.
My bloodwork just came back and my overall cholestaral level has gone up.
In the last 6 months I increased the number of CholestaCare I took to 6 a day in the hopes of lowering it. Instead, it is now higher than ever.
My diet is very healthy, mostly plant-based, some fish, no red meat or pork. I know the difference between bad and good fat and stick to that routine...low carb and very low sugar.
I'm very discouraged. Previously, I ate healthy, but had eggs daily and now that I still eat healthy and went to an egg substitute AND increased my intake of CholestaCare, my labs are wonky.
Part of it I know is genetics, but, honestly, I've made my self sick worrying about it.
I think I'm giving up on the supplements for now, but not sure what else I can do.
@Witchy Woman @Why not start a food diary so you can pinpoint what's going on. Just a suggestion. You can use the free app My Fitness Pal to easily record as you eat. You are taking much more than the recommended dose of CholestaCare. More is not necessarily better. Try going back down to the recommended dose. @Witchy Woman If you drink coffee, make sure it is filtered coffee. There's some old research on coffee increasing total cholesterol. There was almost no increase when filtered coffee was consumed. Dehydration and stress can also raise total cholesterol.

@Shelbelle New direction that akes sense to me.
Just checked Amazon and found this one has 100s of top reviews:
Plus Niacin!
@1Professor @Shelbelle , I would stay away from Red Yeast Rice. It has a compound in it that is very similar to lovastatin; however, being a supplement, you can't be sure the dosage is exact. It can have the exact same side effects of a statin including muscle loss. Just go with a statin that is regulated rather than this route.

I would say this is a good idea if I was the kind of person that didn't closely monitor what I eat...But I am.
I'm not only careful about my diet, but I spin and/or walk at least an hour a day.
For now, I'm just going to stop everything but a few supplements and go from there.

I'm pretty sure that is what the doctor is going to recommend this time, or at my next appointment.
While the thought of taking medication makes me crazy, it may be the only answer.
I know I'm doing everything right in terms of diet and exercise, so medication may be the only answer, I agree.

I have always avoided Red Yeast Rice, I only posted as FYI for others if they were interested, many do take it successfully.

@Icegoddess @Shelbelle + all
Excellent point, @Icegoddess thanks.
Just checked some sites.
From WebMD:
In fact, it is the side effects of statins that many of us seek to avoid, if possible.

How about oatmeal, or oat bran, I do take Beta Glucan supp daily, which is oats. Even Cheerios is good for lowering cholesterol.

I understand, I bit the bullet years ago and started on a beta blocker for BP, got tired of fighting it on my own. When high chol is inherited ,hard to fight it on its own.
