Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

I went to my weekly WW class today, and lost 2.4 pounds for the week. Total 16.8 lost since Dec. 13th. I think the Smart Points is working for me. Smiley Happy

I plan on going back soon but I'll be darned if I buy another food calculator.  I have two points plus calculators already so that I'd have one at home and one at work (one was included in something else I bought at a WW meeting).  I'm retired now so I have 2 sitting around the house.

I love WW but they can't expect people to restock every time they make a big change like this.

I did buy a new calculator, if I didn't I'd just add 2 pts to a lot of foods now then. But then I now have 5 more points allowed than I had before. I really use my calculator. Hopefully, this will be the last one I buy.

Hi @Tissyanne, I am attending also.  My weigh in is tomorrow night.  I am not losing nearly as fast as you, but I'm losing.  That is the main thing!  I have been going since Dec. 8.  At least I lost through the holidays instead of gaining.

I quit buying bananas.  I think I was abusing them.  LOL

Congrats. on your losses so far!!!

Guess I need another cup of coffee. MIMA. I just read your post and the vision that immediately leapt into my poor mind was of you standing over a cowering banana and swatting it with a Billy Club.

I'm happy your Banana Abuse didn't extend that far.

Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

Well, Oprah, on her latest WW commercial is saying she's lost 26 pounds.  Good for her!  Guess you could call that putting your mouth where your money is, lol.

Good evening,

My weight watcher class was today, and I have lost 2.8 for the week. I am loving this program, and am very glad I decided to try the new Smart Points. I have lost almost 20 pounds.

@Tissyanne, Would you be so kind as to giving examples of meals and snacks that you eat. I really would appreciate some ideas. Found out more of what does and doesn't work for me this last week. You are doing wonderfully!!! Keep it up!!

Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

@Tissyanne congratulations on your results and your efforts. Congrats to everyone. I know the struggle.

I went to a WW meeting on Saturday. I was successful with points plus, but not so much now.

I would also like to ask you what a typical meal that you plan, if you don't mind.

Thanks again.

Re: New Weight Watchers Program - Question

@qualitygal @Lucibee, Here are some examples,

I always eat a good breakfast. This seems to help a lot. I eat an egg, dry toast, 2 slices bacon, and skim milk. Some mornings I also add a 3 smart point oatmeal to this. No morning snack . Lunch is either a Smart One, or homemade veg soup which is 0 points. I use 1 can petite diced tomatoes, 1 bottled water, diced sweet onion, thinly sliced bell pepper or celery, and some chopped carrots. This is a filling soup, and I eat it a couple of bowls lightly salted. Dinner varies greatly, but an example is a 6 ounce homemade meatloaf, green beans, 1 roll with butter, and a salad with 1 T. Italian dressing.  I then usually eat 3 1/2 cups Smartfood delight white cheddar popcorn for 4 smart points late evening.
