Have seen more people working in stores lately wearing masks. They cannot afford to get sick. Several of my favorite influencers have said they have not been feeling well and cannot shake it. They are young. Hopefully with all the cuts that people will be made aware so they don't have to get sick to realize their is a wave of virus' in their area.

In the case of a new Covid strain or an outbreak of bird flu in the human population, we're in big trouble because there's no provision for developing, testing or approving a vaccine. Were very vulnerable.

I realized today that I have stopped my usual disinfecting routine that I started during COVID. I continued it because I noticed that neither of us had as many colds etc since I wiped down our heavily touched surfaces each day and usually at least twice daily. I started the routine again today, especially since our English Bulldog has a chronic eye infection that will be treated for the rest of his life and I don't want to give that to our other dogs. Carrying my own sanitizer has become routine for me as is wiping down my hands, car keys and other surfaces every time I get back in the car while shopping.
It still pays to be careful and keep doing good hand cleaning regardless of how you feel about COVID issues.

@Winkk The worst of it was several days...4 or 5. It got better after that and was gone by 1 1/2 weeks.
I try t keep my immune system strong. I stay hydrated and take supplements. Vitamin D3 and K2 along with Quercitin & Zinc.
I never got the vaccine or boosters. Yes I got sick with Covid for the first time last summer. I was on vacation in Europe and it was going around there at that time. Plus my schedule was off and since i was on vacation I didn't make the effort to take my supplements and stay hydrated. Thank goodness I got it as I came home!

@Winkk Thank you! I know someone whose daughter has this strain and the "razor blade throat" symptom.

@CelticCrafter -- I knew what @snipsnapsnur meant. As long as the topic is Covid and no one makes it political there is no reason for it to be puffed. Even if it is, I got some good information.

I had Mono back in the day and that is exactly how I described the sore throat I had with it......like swallowing razor blades. There ARE other illnesses that have severe sore throat, extreme tiredness, fever and body aches as symptoms besides COVID.
