New Peloton Bike recall due to possibility for injuries

[ Edited ]

https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2023/Peloton-Recalls-Two-Million-Exercise-Bikes-Due-to-Fall-and-Injury-...

This is for model number PL01. The reason cited on the CPSC website is that,

"The bike’s seat post assembly can break during use, posing fall and injury hazards to the user." See above for complete information about this recall.

We have that bike and ride it every day...hard. I probably ride 20 miles a day and so does hubs. Have had it for two years.  We will go ahead and just grab the seat since it's free, but my daughter who was a spin instructor and personal trainer before she became a nurse practitioner thinks it's probably happened to people who exceeded the weight limit on the bike.  Several times at the gym they had to turn away an extremely large person from the bike because of the weight limit.  Safety hazard.

But of course, they have to recall every single bike.

First - treadmills recall

Second - bike seat recall

Third - Embedded AI 3D holigramwill become *aware* & start strangling customers who gets on ther nerves, tripping customers on purpose while on treadmill, knocking customers out during the boxing sequence?

You know this stuff happens in 3s...........
