I've been wondering if I'd benefit from this. I read the ingredients and it's pretty short. It also seems to be made up of a few things already included in most multivitamins. Has anyone taken this and what are your opinions? It's not cheap either; $40 a bottle.

I started buying this for my husband about six months ago. He has serious head up @ss syndrome. He doesn't remember anything. The only thing I can say is I notice when he's out of them and doesn't take them for a couple days.

My mother got very forgetful in her late 80s and started taking this stuff.  Didn't do a thing for her.  I've read that they're ineffective.

Re: Neuriva brain support

[ Edited ]

There's no credible evidence that any of the brain supps work to help memory loss. Prevagen got a warning from the FDA a few years ago regarding false claims about memory improvement and Prevagen could not prove it. FYI.

Some studies done by the NIH showed that some brain supps contained stuff in them that wasn't reported on the label. Other tests showed negative results for what was listed on the bottle. In other words, the labels are deceiving. For me that is concerning.

Very few dietary supplements can cross the blood brain barrier. Only a few vitamins, some minerals and some amino acids can cross.  But the majority of them do not and for good reasons.

Seems Phosphatidylserine is the main active ingredient in Neuriva.

Doesn't Lessman offer this?

Dr. Andrew Weil writes extensively about Ginko.

I have no experience with the above products.

@Midmod   Haven't tried this but I did buy a bottle of Prevagen. And yes this was expensive too. I should have read the ingredients before buying it - it's mostly B12.

And you 're right, it's mostly the same as a multivitamin.

I got rid of the stuff and chose to not take it. I take a really good organic multi with the same and better ingredients.

From what I can tell Phosphatidyl Choline and Phosphatidyl Serine are made from soy. Many makers of supplements offer this type of producrt made with this ingredient.

I did find one from Nutircost that is made from sunflower instead of soy.

It won't hurt you if you follow the directions but I doubt that it does what it claims to do.  It's over the counter, advertised on tv.  If it was as great as it claims to be, every doctor would be prescribing it to patients.  It would require a prescription and cost $100 a bottle.
