About anything and everything.  Worry weaves in and out of my thoughts all too often.

I'm tring to remember if I felt this way when taking Wellbutrin and I don't remember.  But, I'm thinking about trying it again.

Yes, I know it is pointless to worry.  I am busy, exercise, done therapy (in the past) and know all the reasons it is a waste of time.

Still, I worry.  Is it aging?

While I hate to fall back to drugs, it does get exhausting.

Please talk to someone who will share your concerns. Perhaps a religious leader (pastor,priest or rabbi). Or at least a medical person. You are very troubled and need to talk to someone. And tell us what you have done.

@Witchy Woman  Have you tried meditation.  I have taken MBSR (mind body stress reduction) for other reasons, but many have found relief from anxiety.  It is a bit pricey, but you can find a lot of free information and techniques online.  If interested, I can provide you with the doctor who was my teacher,  she had free instructional information on her website.

@Witchy Woman, I have always been a worry wart about everything and nothing.

Its just my makeup.  Now as I am getting older, unfortunately, real life things are happening where my worry is substantiated. I just have never been so tired...

Do whatever works for YOU !!!  Meds, no meds, excercise, meditation, shopping, breathing, whatever......but if you find the magic,,,,,,,,,,,,,,please please let me know.

THOUGHTS OF YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Heart

@Witchy Woman--I think anxiety like this comes with getting older. I am 64 and find myself worried and then very angry, about alot of things. and most times, there is nothing I can do about it. Never was like this in my early years---can get myself so riled up that it makes my heart and stomach act up. There is alot going on to be worried about given the current situation in the country, if you know what I mean---but hopefully things will change there soon. right now, when my brain goes into overdrive, I stop and use the 4-7-8 method of breathing for just 5 minutes and find it really helps, especially at night. Google that for more info. Drugs should be the very last line of defense.

Yes, breath is a key to relaxation.  Excellent suggestion.

@Group 5 minus 1

I was raised Catholic and have, in the past, spoken with a priest about a variety of issues (not this one).  To be honest, their insights are not all that helpful to me.

I have a doctor that treats my thyroid issues and helped me with bioidentical hormones.  I would speak with her in this regard.

 @phoenixbrd

I have done meditation off and on and need to be back to it on a regular basis.

I'm embarrassed to say I really have nothing in particular in my life that is driving this feeling.

And, I'm almost positive it is age-related.

I was not like this in my youth -- but who is? Cat Happy

Yep, I’m going through this right now too.  I also have always been a worrier and have gone through periods that were bad.  In my case, I think it may be aging.  Having gone through the decline and eventual death of my parents many years ago and the death of my husband six months ago, I can’t now help but think about what happens to me when I get incapacitated.  And smaller things—what if the car breaks down while I’m shopping, or the water heater quits. I’ve always overreacted to everything.

My best to you, and know you are not alone.  Too bad all us worriers can’t get together!🙂  And as @Skididdy says, if you find a magic bullet, let us know!😄

Hang in there!

@Witchy Woman  .... terrific that you have some experience with meditation.  Perhaps you would want to challenge yourself to a couple of weeks of your meditation practice.  I only mention because I know that meditation is a source of calm and a rock in my life as well as many others. I also practice tai chi, which is for me a moving meditation.   I'm wishing you the best of health.

@geezerette

The loss of your husband is so recent, so I can understand your feelings.  I think grief takes much longer than we know.

Yes, I went through the aging/death process with my own parents, then my husband's parents.  I even moved my parents close to me so I could be there when they needed me.  It was difficult, but the right decision.

That's all behind me now.

Like you, even the small things make their way into my brains.  If I stop to think about it, I've got to laugh.  Maybe it is just an effort to control things so there are no surprises Cat LOL
