Need to start back with Magnesium supplements

Which one of these Andrew Lessman supplements would you recommend?  I need the magnesium, used to take it and stopped, now I can tell I need to start again.  I know I could also stand to supplement calcium, but want to know opinions from anyone who has taken either one of these----  Magnesium Intensive Care or Ultimate Calcium-Magnesium Intensive Care.  Would like to know if the calcium upset your system etc.

Thanks!Woman Happy

Self-diagnosing your need for supplements can be dangerous.  Before taking anything you should have a blood panel done by your doctor to determine what your deficits are, if any.

@BetsyDoodle if you need both, get the one with both of them in it.  I'm thinking there is a post from @bebe777 on here somewhere, I think you need one to help the other absorb completely.  Sorry I don't exactly remember.  You can also call procaps CS.  The special price is only good for October.  If I find her post I will pull it up on here.

BetsyDoodle, I am curious why .... what did you find?  The reason I ask--I was taking Natural Calm plus Calcium -- recommended by someone here -- then stopped and started Fiber Benefits (Andrew's).  Need the fiber more than the other.  Now, my nails aren't great, just thought I might go back to have the Calm in addition to the Fiber.  That is why I am curious as to what you found.  The Calm also has Magnesuim....

It was my doctor that recommended the supplements to me a few years back.  I took them and then through all the hustle and bustle of life I stopped.  She just recommended I start them again.  She recommended either one of Andrew's products, i just wanted to know if his calcium is hard on your system like some other calcium supplements.

For me, my doctor recommended it to me to keep help with my regularity, and to help relax muscles, mainly my legs. She found I was lacking magnesium through tests and it caused my muscles to not "relax" all the way and kept me up at night. The calcium and other bone helping ingredients in the magnesium and calcium supplement will help my bones.  My mom and sister have osteoporosis, I had a bone density and mine was in the normal range but I also lacked calcium, and my mom has severe osteoporosis and she wanted me to have a little help in that area.  She is a wonderful doctor who would rather use supplements or natural ways to help when she can instead of a lot of prescriptions.

Re: Need to start back with Magnesium supplements

I am taking a calcium, magnesium, zinc supplement from the Vitamin Shop.  I take loads of Andrew's supplements also but when I had my Dexascan the doctor said I was Osteopenic and to take Calcium.  The pereson at the store suggested I make sure the Magnesium is in it to dispurse the calcium correctly.  I don't remember Andrew's calcium so I would check all the ingredients.  I do trust him though in whatever you decide which of his to take.

@luvmybeetle

Yes that is correct, when i showed the label that I printed off from Andrew's page she wanted to make sure there was magnesium in it and she also liked the Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 in it as they help dispurse the calcium correctly

@Kachina624

Actually, blood tests will only show a magnesium deficiency when it is extremely severe. Most of our magnesium is stored in other parts of the body. Having the right amount in our blood is so very important that our bodies will take magnesium from other body parts to ensure it is balanced in our blood.

There aren’t regular lab tests to show true magnesium deficiency before it has become severe, at which point it can be life-threatening.
