I lost a gold crown four years ago when I moved. I put off having it glued back in until the tooth had migrated and they claimed they couldn't do it. So Dentist A just put in a stainless cap. If he could do that, why couldn't he get the gold crown back in? Dentist B, a periodontist, says the same thing, I have to have a new crown made. Dentist C, an endodontist, says the same thing. The stainless is lousy and and Dentist A never told me he could do a real crown. So before I spend the money for another crown, does anyone know if a certain type of dental specialist can get this gold crown back in?
