Re: Need Help ... Lessman Secure Meal replacement ... tomorrow TSV

I believe AL products are usually superior.

I considered Secure, but then I compared ingredients Secure vs Shakeology from Beach Body. IMHO Shakeology is much better. I'll stay with Shakeology.

I tried the sampler years ago. The vanilla, chocolate and coffee were the best IMO and tasted pretty good. They weren't filling to me. I didn't use a blender and made them with 1% milk. Probably if you add more powdered milk, ice, and a blender it would be more satiating. The soy concerns me so I will wait until Andrew comes out with flavored whey replacement shakes. The Secure Soy are not as filling as a meal, but similar to how full a Slim-fast shake is.

Re: Need Help ... Lessman Secure Meal replacement ... tomorrow TSV

I tried it and hated it. I guess I am sensitive to chemical sweeteners, because that sweetness (and the bitterness of the sucralose) made me gag. It's the only AL product I've ever returned, and at that, I bought 3 big ones and only had the heart to return one, as I have a lot of respect for AL's integrity. I threw the rest away, saving the big empty containers for use on the farm!

Major kudos, though, for him finding non-GMO soy. There are studies that show mice getting horrible tumors from GMO grain, and farmers as well as a study show loss of livestock fertility trickling down generations. We don't hear about things like this because the media is supported by pharm and agribusiness and they won't bite the hand that feeds them.

It's been a couple of years now. If he had a small sample pack I'd try it again. Maybe I've changed since. I truly believe, based on my positive experience with other AL products, that you can't do better in a meal replacement shake. If, of course, you can stand sucralose! - Bird

Liquids never fill me up. I could never drink one of these as a meal. I much prefer to eat whole fresh fruit and greek yogurt for breakfast. Also there's a lot of carbs in these.

I don't know why anyone would want to drink a meal if they still have teeth

I'm looking at them, too. They are extremely low calorie and low protein - 70 calories and 7 grams of protein, if mixed in water. The host was talking about using it frequently during the day as snacks, etc. I was also surprised that it wasn't on at least one additional shipment, since it is an annual TS.

I have used it for years. Haven't lost any weight but I figure it is better than having coffee in the morning, with the vitamins etc. I like the coffee flavor but chocolate is also good too.

I still have a 100 meal unopened bottle. So I told myself I will pass on the TSV. BUT it is quite a deal. Maybe in a few hours I will change my mind.

I use it all the time. Not much of a breakfast eater but will do a smoothie. I use frozen fruit almond milk and occasionally yogurt. Holds me easily till lunch. Also use the Choc with leftover morning coffee. Put it over ice for an afternoon pick-me-up.

I've tried them, not that bad tasting. But any product like this ends up being an appetizer for me. It just doesn't feel like I've had a meal.

I tried this.

It tastes TERRIBLE. The worst shake I have every had.

Plus it is very expensive.

And it certainly didn't give me energy or fill me up between meals.

You would be better off eating an apple with peanut or almond butter (for protein).

Don't waste your money.
