for those of you using a natural thyroid, do you find you have to keep increasing your dosage?

I was on Naturethroid for a couple of years then had symptoms again and naturopath doubled the dose. Now after a year on the higher dose, I am losing my hair big time again, I am so tired I can't get out of my own way, my skin is dry..i can go on and on. I am concerned now I will have to go on a higher dose yet again. Is this normal? Would a big pharma medication have the same results??

My sister laughs at me as I am on big pharma medications and yet I take a natural thyroid. She says, common cat, it's not like you're a health nut, look what you're already taking. I am wondering if those who have taken both types of meds what you think.
