Does anyone use this?

I have a friend who swears by it (she got it on the advice of her doctor).  I did some reading on it, and decided to order some.  I thought with cold and flu season, it can't hurt.

My husband uses it, on our doctor's recommendation, and thinks it works well.

Re: Nasal spray with Xylitol

@Dar321  Basically, it cleans, moisturizes and protects sinus tissues from allergens and bacteria.

Re: Nasal spray with Xylitol

@Swedishmiss What is the name of the spray?  My DH is suffering terribly tonight with his nose and sinuses.  He was sawing and lots of sawdust and pulling up a very old carpet in a home.  I know he can benefit from this spray often.  Thanks if you can reply.  I'm afraid this is turning into a sinus infection.

Re: Nasal spray with Xylitol

@KathyM23 It's called XLEAR Sinus Nasal Spray.  I haven't tried it (it is supposed to be delivered tomorrow).  I hope it helps you DH.

(I ordered mine from Target, but a lot of places carry it)

Thank you.  I'll tell DH to try it - may just solve his problem.

I use the Rescue formula. It works for me.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Xylitol,Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate, Oat Beta Glucan, Oregano, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Parsley, Pau D’Arco, Grapefruit Seed Extract.

This was posted on Amazon. It should help you with what each product does.

We offer several different nasal sprays:

Xlear Nasal Spray (this product page), Xlear Max, Xlear 12-Hour Nasal Spray & Xlear Rescue. We'll explain the differences:

- XLEAR NASAL SPRAY is the best product for everyday use to combat irritants, dryness, and allergies. This is our original nasal spray that is as simple as it is effective & safe. Normal saline nasal sprays can dry out the nasal passage, actually leaving it more irritated and susceptible to external contaminants. But with the addition of xylitol, Xlear Saline Nasal Spray with xylitol will moisturize and soothe your sinus and nasal passages.

- XLEAR MAX has the added benefit of Capsicum Oleoresin and natural aloe, which offers more immediate relief from nasal congestion and allergies while symptoms persist but aren't intended for daily use.

- XLEAR 12-HOUR contains oxymetazoline to instantly relieve the worst cases of congestion. Oxymetazoline is widely used as a decongestant and anti-inflammatory to shrink swollen nasal tissues.

- XLEAR RESCUE offers a slightly stronger, but still natural, punch against whatever is causing your upper respiratory problems. Herbs and essential oils have long been used for natural relief from dozens of ailments. Xlear Rescue features herbal supplements like Pau d’Arco, and essential oils like oregano, parsley, eucalyptus, and tea tree to give you fast, effective relief when you need it.

Isn't Xylitol an artificial sweetner?

Re: Nasal spray with Xylitol

My nose gets clogged at night sometimes.  I began using per a recommendation by someone on this board a few months ago.  I like it a lot.  It does clear things out.

I also read a recommendation for Olbas Inhaler   It's a natural aromatherapy blend which I use occassionally afterwards  Works well in making passages feel clearer.  It's made up of natural oils.
