Our nephew's a bartender in NYC. My sister said he was sick last week (I assume he didn't get paid) and will now be out of work due to the pandemic. We sent him a check to help tide him over.

Waiting to find out if my Behavioral Health Agency will close   - our clients are youth and schools closed thru at least 4/27 - I work in school system but have to show to work to be paid.

same here in Los Angeles. fortunately L A is spread out, easy to go out for a walk , get some fresh air (when it isn't raining, which it is, gratefully, right now) when you get a little stir crazy.  

it's worse in San Francisco and a number of surrounding counties where they are pretty much supposed to shelter in place/ stay put period for the next week or so.

Chik Fil A is very popular around me and there are always lines for the drive through.  I bet it is mobbed now.
