Ravens did a fab job, neat and clean all the way from start to finish!!!

shel, what a nice game to watch huh? very few mistakes! happy new year neighbor!

Hey Fellow Ravens Fans!

So sweet when we beat THEM! Proud of our guys! Secondary really stepped up (what have we had - like 7 different corners/safeties???). Flacco did a great job, especially with his scrambling. "O" line - great protection. "D" - great job! Thigh catch!

We've beaten NE 2 out of 3, so not too worried. I know neither team is the same as last time, but we can do it! Oh just remembered - The Gronk - mmmm, that could be a problem! LOL

Nobody ever thinks the Ravens can go all the way, but... TBD!

Re: NFL Wild Card Weekend!!!

The fun thing with the playoffs is anything is possible once you're in. I'm thinking the league would prefer a Seattle/Green Bay final two in the NFC and a New England/Denver final two in the AFC. If that's the case then the other teams will have to beat those teams and likely the officials (the Lions are not happy with how that Cowboy game was called) in order to advance, but anything can happen. You never know.

Since I am a Lions fan, I hope that the Packers dominate the Cowboys next week!! That call on the Lions was absolutely terrible.

Re: NFL Wild Card Weekend!!!

I'd like to chime in on the PI call that was rescinded. If I could use expletives here, they would be flying. Garbage. And yes, I have been convinced that Pro sports are rigged, for years (doesn't mean I don't watch!). I hope those officials are censured - if they are not, it will just reinforce my suspicions. Total garbage that call/penalty/flag/no flag/no call/no penalty/NO EXPLANATION was. Reminds me of when Matt Williams took Jordan Zimmerman off the mound when he was one strike away from a no-hitter in the playoffs. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Good games, though. As a 'Skins "homer" we are not accustomed to seeing quality play. Andrew Luck (can we give him at least a "Jr" designation) is amazing, in my small book of knowledge.

Looks like a good playoff.

Packer fan and we couldn't believe the call which was obvious, flag thrown, announced and then it didn't exist. Money talks and Jerry Jones has plenty of it. Of course we want the Packers to win but were rooting for Detroit. Felt so bad for the team. As my husband said at least when we got robbed in Seattle they were substitute officials. These officials there was no excuse. They shouldn't be allowed to officiate in the rest of the playoffs. And Chris Christie did make me sick. What's wrong with the teams in his area?

Re: NFL Wild Card Weekend!!!

The refs were terrible, but of course the bad calls the Cowboys had are overlooked. We took our bad penalties, then scored. The Cowboys haters want to taint our win over what they see as a bad call. I find it funny that no one is acknowledging the facemask hold Pettigrew had on Hitchens during that play. Kinda hard to get your head turned around to look for the ball when your facemask is held. Cowboys didn't play their best game, but they won because they took chances. Lions had opportunities, but Cowboys stopped them. That's why the score was 24-20.

Come what may next week against the Packers, I'm darn proud of my Boys.

Re: NFL Wild Card Weekend!!!

If the Lions had scored on the final drive, and won the game, would people have been talking about the blown call? Probably not so much....

Maybe the call impacted the game somewhat, but the Lions had opportunities to score and didn't take advantage of them. Also, wondering why Caldwell had the team punt instead of going for it on 4th and 1. Playoff teams need to find ways to get past bad calls and try to score. Things like this occasionally happen in the NFL. The Cowboys just outplayed the Lions in the end. It still would have been interesting to see the Lions' defense against Seattle. Oh well, congrats to all the winners this past weekend! Dallas at Green Bay will definitely be a good match-up.

Re: NFL Wild Card Weekend!!!

That kind of a call gets talked about no matter who wins. If the two teams were reversed and it was a Lion who interfered with Dez Bryant and the flag was thrown and the penalty marked off then reversed, the Cowboy fans would be screaming about it. It's easy to say the team could have/should have overcome it, but when those kind of calls go against you it's like a body blow to a boxer. It doesn't knock you out, but it can take a lot of the fight out of you. It was still a good win for the Cowboys though and next weekend should be a great weekend of football. It'll be fun to watch.

Re: NFL Wild Card Weekend!!!

THIS Cowboy fan wouldn't be screaming about it gardenman if the situation was reversed. I would be upset about it, but when it comes to reasons for the loss, I would be looking at what my team didn't do, rather than blame a call. I guess I should be be thankful Suh was playing, otherwise we'd be reading how Dallas only won because Suh was out......which I think he should had been.

I meant to say Congrat to all the winners. I missed the other 3 games..was so sad to hear about the Steelers loss. Not surprised though.

If it weren't for my team playing the Packers, I would be rooting for the Packs this weekend. I have a little bit of a crush on Aaron, sick as that may be since I'm old enough to be his mama.{#emotions_dlg.wub} But come Sunday, I hope it's the Cowboys doing the crushing.
