...and I'm gathering this is..bad? A carrot is, never was & never will be the cause of weight gain and/or poor health because it's 'high in sugar'. WHERE do people come up with this stuff?!! SMH

If only it were as easy as "reduce fat & move more".
There R many, many reasons for high triglycerides. Including sugar. Yes, excess sugar will increase triglyceride levels.
Read Robert Lustig, MD book, Fat Chance to start the education process.
Exercise is good, but as others pointed out it's all about the quality of your calories and the amount of calories. Loosing weight by cutting back your calorie intake is a start. Good luck.
