In July 2008, my 39 yr old son was diagnosed with testicle cancer. The testicle was immediately removed and he started 9 weeks of chemo on Aug 25. During Nov he rested to gain strength for surgery. Since the cancer had spread into his abdomen he had to have a surgery called RPLND to remove remaining cancerous nodes. The surgery was done Dec 11, 2008 and took 5 hours. It was a very serious operation and we were all a wreck waiting but he did great. Since then he goes for scans and bloodwork every 3-4 months and his tests today showed everything is good. Of course we always get nervous when it's time for checkups. Just wanted to share my son's story and update anyone who has read my posts in the past.
