Re: My brush with stroke this week

@Poodlepet2That is fine by me. Crocheting and knitting as well as other crafts are not seen as much as we would like it to be. My husbands grandmother taught me a chain stitch when I was 17 ( got married at 16 fifty years ago) and I was fascinated at what chains etc could make. I have made about 25 of the graph afghans as I know they will be an heirloom someday. My son that is 45 still covers up with an afghan I made with sports equipment all over it. It still looks like new and he was 12 when I crocheted it. Now he is 6'4" tall he said I need to add about 2 feet to it. Smiley Happy

Re: My brush with stroke this week

I have been thinking about wearing a medic alert bracelet if I knew where to find one. I keep my newest med list, Doctor notes and list of my health problems and specialist on it with their telephone numbers. I also keep my newest blood work in my purse. Sometimes when I get to a doctor's appointment the other Doctor did not forward the info they were suppose to. It has helped me many times to do so. These are copies of the originals I have at home for my own records.

A little O/T but if you have a smart phone-You can put important medical info and emergency numbers on it. You can set it so that this info is available but the rest of your info is locked. Emerency personnell know to check your phone in an emergency.

Re: My brush with stroke this week

My cardioversion did not work, no sinus rythum for me. My doctor offered me electrophysiology testing to find the cause of the arrythmia or I can stay on my Lopressor and Xaralto and see how I can cope with the symptoms if I have any. I already know I'm very tired on the Lopressor and am short of breath if I try to walk fast. Have any of you had electrophysiology testing with oblation, I'm interested in knowing how much better this works than cardioversion for keeping the heart in sinus rhythum. The doctors offer up stats on these procedures, but unless it's a very high percentage of success to me it's not worth the risks.
