Monday morning about 6am my wife woke me up and told me after walking her Boxer Foster, she was not feeling right. Asked her a bunch of questions/felt her/took her BP and Oxygen Saturation. Numbers on BP were ok and so was her OXS levels(98%)
Pain in her chest/nauseous sore left shoulder and arm. Not numb, sore. I then felt her head and asked if she felt hot/cold/clammy. She felt warm to my touch and very clammy.
With my 2 heart attacks the only symptom that was similar for me was "clammy". She was dressed and I was dressing as we were talking. Out the door to the ER on Monday morning getting there about 6:20am.
Lot's of testing but hospital had just switched over to new computer system on June 1st and to say it was a mess! Anyways they admitted her after primarily ruling out heart attack or stroke with EKG/EchoCardiogram and blood readings. Result was high liver readings.
She is still in the hospital as I type this and it appears it is some type of liver issue. Will be going there after I get done typing here. Was happy to hear what it wasn't/isn't, but it opens yet another door to other health related issues.
And wouldn't you now it! We had the worst of the worst storms in years here. I left the hospital early because a doctor came in and told me if I live north there are baseball size hail north of where we live and moving south. Since we have pretty/shinny newer car I told my wife goodnight and headed north. Was only about 4:00pm but looked more like midnight as I drove north.
Got home, no hail but lots of very strong winds. Got her Boxer out for his walk and inside just in time to shut the windows I left open in our patio room and bedroom and all heck broke loose. The hail was so loud most felines went under the bed while the others headed for the cover of the basement.
Now while our 4 season patio room is like heaven to us, it is not sided with wood and the roof is some type of covered metal or generic metal. Think being in a 55 gallon drum with the lid on and you have what it sounded like it our patio room. On surveying our property this morning we have broken window/beat up siding and all gutters are dented. Patio roof leaking and on and on and on. I haven't even looked at our trees yet more concerned about the house. Filled claim with home owners and they said "we are now getting a lot of calls from NE". I bet there are.
Wanted to let those of you that know/knew of my wife's stroke in December know that she is once again hospitalized and I am with her as much as I can be. While I love our Foster Boxer he is one neat guy, it is not easy as walking out of the home and leaving our felines to their own.
Rambled enough here and if you made it this far thank you for doing so and I will update things whenever I have time. I am still on my own regimen with Shingles and a super high heart rate for which I was suppose to wear a monitor. This with my wife supercedss what I might need right now and since I saw my Cardio Doc at the hospital he has no problem with holding up putting me on the monitor.

John, I live in northern Sarpy. We had lots of rain and wind but received no damage to our house. I hope you and your wife will be OK.

John- I live just a little bit north and east of Immanuel Hospital, a little south of you I believe. I don't think I've ever seen clouds like that. Was on my way home about 3:45 (from Valley), and I did drive much faster than I usually do, but wasn't the only one. Let the dogs out, fed them, let them out again to do their "business", they were back inside by the time it started raining. Got some hail (but nothing like you had it sounds), lots of rain and lots of high winds. Very scary storm indeed, just glad we're not in Blair! I sometimes complain about the cost of insurance, have had to use it a handful of times, but it has been money very well spent (specially where we live). But I can't imagine living anywhere else...I love Omaha!!!
Best wishes for your sweet wife...at least some heavy hitters have been eliminated. Good luck for the upcoming house repairs...at least everyone there is safe, albeit except for some scared furry ones!

Hello John, I am so sorry to read about the health problems Cindy is going through, I am like you wondering what is going on with her latest findings. At this time I think the only thing we can do is hope and do alot of praying that it isn't something serious. But liver issues are always scary. This sure is not going to help your problem with the shingles and the fact that your home has all that damage from the storm, that happening you sure could have done with out. Keep us up dated on both you and Cindy. Tell Cindy I sent her my best wishes that she gets over what ever this latest health problem and prayers will be said for both of you. Take care and John try to take care of your self Cindy is in good hands she is being taken care of so just watch how much you are pushing your self.

I am so sorry to read this, you and Cindy will be in my thoughts and prayers. The health issues are so stressful, but to have storm damage in addition is awful. God's blessings to both of you.
