We live in an over 55 community and one of our friends here told us about tart cherry juice.  Couldn't find it but found the capsules at Walgreens and they worked!!!

Hope this helps someone,

Cathy

Did the tart cherry juice cure his gout?

My husband had gout years ago and last month had a very painful attack. We had tart cherry juice liquid concentrate on hand and he took diluted in water twice daily. Worked like a charm. With each dose the pain and redness decreased.  By day 3 the attack was 100% gone. He now takes a lower dose once daily to prevent further attacks.  He was thrilled as his attacks can last 3 weeks.

Here the cherry concentrate is in the organic or produce aisle.  Pills sound easier to take.

My dh has been drinking tart cherry juice for years to control daily aches and pains. It works like a charm! We are fortunate to live in cherry country here in upper MI. We just go to our local orchard.

Gout is caused by a very high concentration of uric acid in the blood. It is toxic to sensitive organs like kidneys. He NEEDS to see a doctor , have a uric acid level done to see what it is. Gout is a symptom of a pretty serious condition, and tart cherry juice isn't the best treatment for high uric acid.

There is a special diet that's given as well.  Please check with the DR for all the information and then blood levels must be monitored!!

So sad to see people not listening to their bodies.

Gout is your body's cry of pain...warning you something's not right.

Wow...all that inflammation.

The cherry this & cherry that is just a Band-Aid.

Remove the cause of gout.

Pain is gone.

Off the subject but we are from Hudson & Adrian, Michigan.  We miss the trees, lakes and farms.  Now we have mountians, deserts, cactus & Road Runners.  Enjoy your native cherries and thanks to all who took the time to respond!
