Yesterday I saw my Psychiatrist for a "med. check." I see him every six months as I deal with depression and anxiety and PTSD. Two years ago I had a breakdown. I have been on 4 meds, which have worked very well, but about 5 months ago I noticed a slight bit of up and down .... mostly down. When I saw him yesterday, he gave me a mood chart to keep track of how I'm feeling each day and I'm going back in 2-1/2 weeks. The center line of the chart is listed as "normal." Well, for me, "normal" is flat .... I "just am." A lot of days I live my life "flat" but that, I know, isn't normal for most people. It's just a feeling of "oh well" ..... I honestly don't know what "normal" is, so it's hard to go up or down from there unless there is an extreme. The extremes only go to the depression end.
So, what is normal?
