Melanoma and Interferon

Has anyone had melanoma and went through interferon? My mom has stage 3 melanoma and will be having the interferon starting next week. How was the side effects? My mom is 67 yo and in fair health. She will be getting it Mon-Fri. for 4 weeks. Thanks for any info.
