Re: Medicare and Supplemental Insurance Question

We're on Medicare and we have Supplement Insurance, too. Medicare will be billed first and then the Supplement Insurance picks up the balance of what Medicare doesn't pay. Our healthcare is through a major medical center/teaching hospital. They have both numbers in their file and bill accordingly.

What you must remember is that if the service is NOT covered under Medicare, the supplement will not make any payment. You have understand what you're purchasing and the broker should have explained it fully to her.

Re: Medicare and Supplemental Insurance Question

I work for a doctor and if you have Medicare and a secondary insurance you are required to show both or I will bill you the balance of what medicare doesn't pay.
