I have acid reflux and also shoulder and arm issues.  For my acid reflux, my bed is raised at the head by about 4 1/2 inches.  We did this by putting some pieces of wood under the feet.

This pillow is raised and also has an opening for you to insert your arm so that your weight is not resting on it.  I am a side sleeper.

Just wondering if anyone has used or are using this setup and if you are happy with it and is it helping?

They cost about $250 and you can also get a body pillow for an addiitonal cost.

I bought one of these when I had frozen shoulder and could not lie on that side in bed. My experience was not that great. I had the full system, with the wedge, little "bean" pillow, and the u-shaped body pillow. I found it DID work, but only if my body was up high enough on the wedge pillow. The problem was that I kept sliding down the wedge, so I was never able to stay in the proper position.

When I bought mine, the website said you can request to swap the standard wedge pillow for a shorter-length one, which should have solved the problem, but I was never able to reach anyone in customer service.

The other thing is, the whole system is HUGE. I sleep in a full-size bed, and the pillow took up almost the entire width of the mattress.

There are lots of rapturous reviews of this pillow, however, so it seems to be one of those things that really works, or doesn't. As I said, it does actually work as stated, but only if you can manage to keep your body up high enough to stay in place.

I tried the regular wedge and had the same issue - kept slidding down.  I did notice they have systems for petite people.  I changed to several pillows - stacked and one for arm to lay on but still have issues.

Thanks for your feedback.

My husband suffers with acid reflux but did not like the severity of the incline on the pillow, if he rolled over he found himself pushing the pillow off the bed. Eventually we bought an adjustable bed, that is a big help for him.

I broke my shoulder, actually the "ball" and it had to heal on its own. I tried using an incline but that did not work for me so until it began to heal and the pain faded I slept on a recliner. At least that stopped me from rolling over on it, but even today, 3+ years later it is still sensitive-but I'm back in bed.
