Interesting that you mentioned Solaray, @Eager2Learn, as that's where my dilemma is. I bought that brand quite awhile ago and then didn't take it. But a month ago I got serious and started taking them every night and I'm having very good results I think. I looked to repurchase and the formula has changed with the addition of bioperine (black pepper extract) in them which I don't want in a magnesium supplement.

I take mag oxide, what is the difference?

@Shelbelle  I used to take that form also until I found out that it is poorly absorbed by our bodies. It's at the bottom of the list for absorption. If you google magnesium, there is a lot of interesting information out there about the different types and what they are best used for.

Good question. 

I had to look at mine, as I had no idea and mine is also the Mag Oxide.   Interested in what's what as I like to learn what is the best path to take. 

But the bottom line for me has been that what I'm using HAS definitely helped so I guess it's ok.

@pupwhipped I take magnesium malate.  It was recommended to me years ago by a practioner and I just stuck with it.  I use the brand designs for health - it comes in capsule form.
