Light source lamps???

(stupid title?!?!?), but I mean those lights that are for giving sources of light like the sun. I've seen them on ebay, now can't find them. They're pretty $$$$$, hoping to find cheaper ones. These lights are for depression in winter with lack of sun exposure etc. Believe I saw one in an episode on "Northern Exposure", remember that show? Thanks for any help.
