@SeaMaiden wrote:He is a smooth operator and talker....I think many of his products are way over priced. If you know your nutrition and about supplements, you can do better for the same thing.
But, for the average Joe, who is clueless about supplements, then it is probably best to buy his line as at least you are getting what the bottle says.
It is a scary world out there with all the people selling supplements.... I worked in the industry for about 30 years. Learned a lot and know what to. Look for.
The average 'joe" should seek the advice of a nutrionist. How about that?

your thoughts and experinces, please. thanks.
I love his vits and listening to him explain what each one does.
My blood work has been great. I take at least 15 of his vits a day and am in late 80's. Have lots of energy. I cannot do without, feel the difference when I run out of his leg support, cq10, reseratrol, essential 1, omega, memory support, etc.
Would never go back to over the counter or big box store ones. He is more expensive, but worth it.

@pdlinda wrote:@10sluvr I've used his Glucosamine/Chondoitin(sp?) for years and have it on auto delivery. I feel it has helped my osteoarthritis pain A LOT! It is an excellent product.
i was looking at the tumeric, for my join pain, but will take a look at the glucosamine/chond.... Thanks.
I had trouble with my knee a couple of years ago. And I have been using Andrew Lessman's collagen and I noticed a big improvement.
It took two trys. I didn't see any improvement the first try after about 2 months. And finally tried again a year later and I am very happy with the results.

Maybe I'm missing out (don't think so), but he always seemed so snake oil salesman-y that I just could never buy in.
The few supplements I take I get from Amazon and I have no complaints, plus I have to keep the price down at this point so I can't even imagine buying his stuff.

My husband and I have the utmost trust in Andrew Lessman and his products...We take his Women's & Men's Elite 100 Maximum Essential Vitamins and we also love his healthy and delicious Choco Nuvo dark chocolate squares 74%...
.
He has quite an extensive and impressive background, from childhood on and, for those interested, I am posting a link about his lifelong genuine passion and interest in health and fitness and how it lead him to creating his own business....ProCaps Laboratories in Nevada.
He is far from being considered a "snake oil salesman".

Andrew Lessman founded what was to become ProCaps Laboratories in 1979 – back in what some consider “the early days” of vitamin supplements.

@PamfromCT wrote:My DH and I take many supplements, and the majority are Lessman products. I usually buy from HSN, and I watch for the sales and stock up. I like their purity and the fact they are manufactured in this country.
Lessman’s “Turmeric 400 Curcumin” has helped my back issues tremendously. I take 2 tablets daily. My PCP (internal medicine certified) is now finally recommending this ingredient to his patients. I do think, in so many areas, Lessman has been well ahead of his time.
Because he has one plant in Nevada, and does not want to expand, you can only buy from his website, HSN, or a bit on QVC.
I feel the same way about the purity ... and for something we consume, that's pretty important. I certainly am not going to buy vitamins that are manufactured in China ... or any other country, for that matter.
For all those that say they want to Buy American, here's your chance to put yout money where your mouth is. ![]()

I only tried his products once. Bought a mega size jar of his omega. I have not experienced such bloating since a friend talked me into taking chia seeds years ago. Based on that experience, I will not try his products again.

Just curious, @gertrudecloset . Have you consulted with a nutritionist? If so, what expert knowledge did they impart regarding supplements, if you would be so kind to enlighten us?
I know that is a pointed question, but not meant to be rude. I really would like to know your experience.

Well, based on my decades of experience with supplements, I think your reaction is to the ingredient, not the maker of the product.
I am allergic to shellfish, and have to be very careful about shellfish derivatives. One that I absolutely cannot take would be the glucosamine and chondroitin for that reason ... anybody's brand.

@FLgardener No, I have never consulted with a Nutritionist. I have no dietary concerns. When people who are diabetic or don't get the proper nutrients needed based on their lifestyle, or if they are taking medications that would deplete vital nutrients, then it's a good idea to seek nutrionists.
It is a well established fact that Americans take supplements they don't need. This is based on peer reviewed research found on the internet of many medical journals.
As for myself I am aware that I am often vitamin d insufficient because I don't expose self to the sun too much and I don't eat a lot of dairy (except yogourt). Vitamin D is really a hormone as well.
