Re: Lessman's March schedule is up

thanks @bebe777 for an insightful post. I do take around 4500IU & have been able to maintain my Vitamin d levels. Essential 1 is my must have. Love all the supplements I take from AL, try to limit to TSV's to limit the expense but there are more TSV's nowSmiley Surprised

Re: Lessman's March schedule is up

I have a question to anyone who cares to answer...Recently a customer of my small business talked to be about youngevity products (dead doctor's don't lie) doctor.  He has a radio show and a web site to sell his products.

The customer knows I have osteopenia and have had my gall bladdder removed and suggested I take   several of the longevity products....but that gets expensive, since my health care costs have risen so much my disposable income has taken a big hit.

I guess the question is how do you know which product to take...medicall claims cannot be made when taking the product...is it a simple google search?  How do you learn what you need to aid your body in staying health and strong as we age...there is so much information on the web it gets overwelming.

Thanks for any info you caret to share.

@Mom2Dogs,

I had my doctor check my vitamin levels in my blood. This is how I found out that I was critically low on vitamin D and also vitamin B12.  I suggest you speak with your doctor about it.Woman Happy

Every few years I will have my doc recheck my levels to make sure I'm staying on the right track.

I'm a retired pathology lab tech. I used to do the blood testing on patients. I noticed that many of the doctors would order vitamins D and B12 levels frequently. This indicated to me that those two vitamin levels are good indicators of general health. If either of those are low, then this could help, not soley,  diagnose the underlying problem. It also told me that these two vitamins are key indicators that may help establish the current condition or stage of a health problem.

Re: Lessman's March schedule is up

@SilleeMee  thank you!  These day getting to see a doctor is difficult...my doctor retired...and the waiting list was a year to get into another one!!  I made an appt with a NP in the same facility so I will talk with her.

I do have osteopenia and need to have a bone scan this year to see what my progress has been.

I have listened  to Dr. Wallach on the radio (dead doctor's don't lie) and he has a lot of products on his web site (Youngetivy- similar to Andrew Lessman) but I have a little trouble wading thru all the information.

Re: Lessman's March schedule is up

After reading the information on the content of the TS, thinking of converting to the TS and possibly eliminating some of his standalone supplements I have been taking for a long time. Although I feel I get tremendous benefits from his supplements I am interested in trying to save some money too.

@Mom2Dogs

For me, it's always been diet first.  At first it was dieting for weight loss/maintenance but now it is about quality of food and weight maintenance.

I then look at my current health (like blood pressure)/blood work and supplement whatever is needed based on that.

Finally I look at my family history.  Cardiovascular Disease and Arthritis are the big ones in my family, so I supplement for those issues.

Re: Lessman's March schedule is up

@VaBelle35...do you mind telling me what you take for the arthritis?

I eat a lot of green leafy veggies, we don't eat deli meat but do eat dairy....I do eat meat but not a lot...I usually just opt for a salad...it also helps keep my weight in check.  I don't have any digestive issues, just arthritis!

The woman that introduced me to the Longevity product line is very informative, she soaked up the information like a sponge, it takes me a bit longer to get things thru my thick skull.

I can pull up Dr. Wallach's utube video's but he talks so fast I have trouble understanding him!  Ben Fuchs is also very informative...his videos are also on U-Tube.  I find it very intersting but get lost in all the information.

Re: Lessman's March schedule is up

For my joints, I take:

Maximum Joint Effort (which is Glucosamine Chondroitin and MSM)

Marine Collagen

Turmeric & Ginger

Calcium/Magnesium

Vitamin K

Fish Oil is for both cardio vascular health and can have benefits for joint health as well

I think that's it.

Re: Lessman's March schedule is up

@VaBelle35...thanks.  I will take a look at those products.  I am really bad at taking pills on a regular basis.  I would probably just start with the Maximum Joint Effort...

My husband has a-fib...I might see if he woud take the fish oil.  I would love to get him off the blood thinners but his heart rate still flutters so it would be dangerous to not take the meds.
