Thank you both so much. Last night went better than expected. Today has been a bit more painful but nothing I can't handle. Tomorrow back to work and hopefully I can get in to see the ortho as recommended.

@Laura14 How do you work with a broken wrist that has not been set? Is that a good idea? You need rest as your body is in a sort of shock mode with the broken bone. I am glad you are doing "OK". I worry about you going to work.☹️

@Laura14 How do you work with a broken wrist that has not been set? Is that a good idea? You need rest as your body is in a sort of shock mode with the broken bone. I am glad you are doing "OK". I worry about you going to work.☹️

@SeaMaiden I fear this has been worse on you! I have a desk job so I think I can handle it and work around what I have to. I do have a brace urgent care gave me which is my lifesaver right now. I have to go to work. I need my insurance more than ever now. I do have a lot of vacation so I see a lot of three day weekends in my future.

@SeaMaiden Oh please don't take offense. Your post actually amazingly surprised me and it's a bad habit of mine blowing off people who take an interest in caring about me. I'm not used to it for a lot of reasons.

The fact that strangers took the time yesterday and today to think about me and help me brings tears to my eyes. You just really don't know. I don't have the words to express my gratitude to all of you.

The only person who ever takes care of me is me and this has actually been very scary for the first time realizing that I maybe can't take care of me and may need help. My humor helps me get through all of that sometimes.

Way more sharing than necessary but I don't ever want any of you to think I am not genuinely grateful for your responses, interest, and above all the true kindnesses of strangers. It's appreciated much, much more than you will ever know.

@grandma2pkmh 10am Tuesday I am off to see the ortho. And @SeaMaiden, you're right. Doing things at work is not the same as resting at home. Thank you for the good advice. I may be using some of those earned sick days.
