I've been using "All" Free laundry soap, but I've some major skin itching lately. A friend suggested Arm & Hammer. Not sure it's my laundry soap, but I'm up for trying anything. Anyone have other suggestions or experiences with extremely sensitive skin?

@TX-starlight, you might want to have your thyroid checked if fragrance-free detergent is not working for you. I had a similar problem many years ago.

@TX-starlight My son had sensitive skin and we were told to use tide free and clear at half strength and a double rinse.

@dex, I use to use Wisk, and then they quit making it and I had to find a new detergent. I have always been sensitive to reg. Tide, but decided to try Tide Free & Clear, and really like it and do not have any type of reaction to it.

@Hooty I find it interesting that tide is recommended by our dermatologist over the supposedly sensitive skin brands...glad it works for you too.I wonder why so many have troubled skin these days.I don’t remember anybody growing up having problems. In our house we used the laundry bar soap for hair and body.I am assuming it was cheaper.

@dex My mother could never use Tide when I was growing up, I would break out in a rash and itch all over, I just love this new Free & Clear, it also doesn't have a fragrance, which I really like, I hope they don't stop making it!

@Hooty poor girl.....You have always had sensitive skin...mine must have been hardened by that harsh detergent bar over the years as nothing bothers my skin.LOL.

@TX-starlight, I have found that when I am hypothyroid (sometimes from too much synthroid--like last night), I have terrible itching to the point that I cannot sleep. I had to take two benedryl.
Your doctor should make a thyroid test part of your physical.

I use Nellie's Laundry Soda. You can purchase on HSN, Amazon or iherb, etc. Only has a few ingredients and you only need a teaspoon (yes, a teaspoon) per load.
