Does anyone know how I can get covered for massage therapy on Medicare?
Thanks.

Sorry, Medicare doesn't cover massage therapy.

However, if you go to a Physical Therapist, on a prescription, for another cause, they include some massase therapy.
You can get massage therapy from a Physical Therapist, but you can't get massage therapy from just a Massage Therapist. It needs a medical condition to be covered. It is possible. Many conditions improve greatly with Physical Therapy.

You would have to get your PCP to write a prescription for massage therapy at PT - good luck withn that. Sometimes you can get a massage at PT if they feel it will help you but that is not a reason for PT. For instance - when I had ankle surgery and was in a wheelchair for 5 months - when i started PT it was really making my back and hips hurt so the therapist would massage them for me while she iced my ankle at the end of my session. That was paid for.
