I have restless leg syndrome, and I have a hard time sleeping at night.  Lately, my legs are aching...not sure if that is part of RLS, or its something else.  Hard to discribe, its just uncomfortable.  It really is only when I am laying in bed.

Anyone have this?

I have heard that making sure to drink lots of water can help.  Hope you feel better.

  Mine comes in spells, some days are worse than others.

The worse days are when I find myself sitting at my desk too long.

I have so many more pressing health problems, I haven't had a doctor look into it for me.

I don't have it. I have heard of people putting a bar of ivory soap under their bottom sheet down at the bottom of the bed. It's worth a try.

You could also try magnesium at bed time. Check your iron levels. You can research both.

Hope you find something that works for you.

See you doctor. There are scripts that can help.

I know exactly what you are going through.  Mine will ache for a few days then stop.  Seems to happen every few months or so.

I did have some really bad leg pain though that was 24/7 and I could barely walk it was so bad.  Like really horrible shint splints in just one leg.  Went to the doctor, blood work and x-rays showed nothing, and I ended up in physical therapy for 10 weeks.  That definitely did the trick!  But that was not the same as the occassional aches that you have mentioned.

I have RLS, too.  Go speak to your doctor.  There are prescription medications that will really help.  Once you get it under control, you'll realize you're able to sleep better, too.  There's no need to suffer from RLS like you are.  Stop all the old wives remedies, and go speak to your doctor.  I can tell you the medication really improved my quality of life.

@qvc chick There are medications that can help, talk to your doctor. If you do not want to try medicine yet, I found that getting up and walking in my house helps some , but moreso running  a very warm bath and staying in it for 15 minutes or so helped me. I do not know if you are working, pain that keeps you awake at night can disrupt your whole life.

For me, RLS and the leg pain is not related.  They don't happen at the same time, nor within days/weeks of each other.  They are totally separate.

@qvc chick

I am not sure about the aching, but I also have RLS. I take Hyland's Leg Cramps PM and it works wonderfully for me. It's homeopathic and just disolves under the tongue. Just thought it may help you out. Hope you get some sleep and relief soon.
