I saw her on The Middle last night and she looked great. Saw her on The View this morning and she spoke about her weight loss. She is a spokesperson for Jenny Craig again. She said the first time around she kept it off for 3 years. It took her 9 months to lose the weight this time. I guess the products she was selling at QVC didn't work

Re: Kirstie Alley's Weight Loss

Sorry, by my yo-yo dieting life has made me think no products work unless we use them.

Stop looking for the holy grail of a product or particular diet and do portion control of a food plan designed around what you like to eat.

I know lots of women who, like me, have tried various plans - all of them work until we don't.

I know how the battle with weight gain and weight loss is. I hope she can win the battle and keep it off.

Re: Kirstie Alley's Weight Loss

We saw her on the Middle last night and commented that this must have been prior to her weight loss. I didn't think she looked good at all. Smiley Sad

Hopefully she will find what works for her and stop the yo-yo thing as that is unhealthy to keep doing to your body.

Re: Kirstie Alley's Weight Loss

She just goes up and down so much. That's not really healthy.

It's definitely a struggle...

I totally realize how difficult losing and maintaining weight loss can be. However this comes across, I perceive Ms. Alley as being someone who is using weight loss as a side business. I speculate she makes more money going through yo-yo dieting than she would if she just lost and maintained once and for all. This is just my opinion based on nothing other than my perception.

Re: Kirstie Alley's Weight Loss

I did Weight Watchers and have been at goal for 5 years. It is still a struggle everyday and if I didn't go to a meeting ever week I'm sure I would gain it all back like that! You always have to keep on top of your weight loss.

Re: Kirstie Alley's Weight Loss

I can't imagine someone gaining weight just so she can get paid for losing it again.

KA could earn far more by staying thin than by messing with her health yo-yo dieting.

Like Oprah.... Ms. alley will yo yo up again and down again. It seems the both of them can not commit to a lifestyle change....only a diet. That always leads to failure.

Re: Kirstie Alley's Weight Loss

She's like the vast majority of people who can lose a significant amount of weight but have limited or no success at keeping the weight off. And it's a biophysical issue, it's not a matter of people just reverting to old eating habits. It's much more complicated than that. I wish her well but she's in her 60's and assuming that she has not had bariatric surgery; it's almost a certainty that she'll regain the weight. She's been yo-yoing for years.
