Re: Kim Kardashian: Psoriasis journey

You can get psoriasis on the external genitalia. That’s very common. I feel really bad for men that get it you know where. Bleeding, burning, bleeding on everything, cracking, peeling; especially THERE.

For many, there’s also embarrassment, unattractiveness, avoiding a relationship, covering up your arms in summer heat, wearing long pants in the heat, intense itch, leaving flakes behind that look like dandruff, psoriatic nails which look yellow and have irregularities.

I was diagnosed with scleroderma..that's another AI disease that affects the skin and a lot more.

Wow. You have been through so much. Your neck and scleroderma. I have great compassion for you.

Re: Kim Kardashian: Psoriasis journey

I remember her talking about it years ago.  I can see her getting involved in the topic either personally or financially.

@sidsmom   You know what I'm thinking regarding diet.

Re: Kim Kardashian: Psoriasis journey

As some others have stated, I am not a fan of her or her family.  But I feel badly for anyone who suffers from chronic conditions which affect the skin.  I have a chronic rare skin disease myself and so I have empathy for others who have to deal with these things.  It's not only uncomfortable, painful, etc., but it looks bad, makes you feel so unattractive, and really does a number on your self-confidence.

@phoenixbrd

(from the Poosh article):

Before the arthritis hit, I spent about four months doing everything

natural—every ointment, cream, serum, and foam you can possibly

imagine and everything from the dermatologist. I even tried an

herbal tea that tasted like tar. I tried celery juice for eight weeks.

Then I’d do celery juice mixed with the tea. I would do that

twice a day. I was just exhausted by everything. I changed my

diet to plant-based (which I still follow).

The timeline would be changing to PB sometime this year.

With social media comments, I’m always amazed of the number

of comments suggesting Dr. Goldner and/or ‘go vegan.’

On a sidenote...I remember Dr. Barnard is writing a book about

autoimmune issues...which ties into his diabetes campaign.

But, yeah...I immediately smiled when I read she’s on the right path.

On a recent episode of Dr Pimple Popper Dr Lee prescribed Cosentyx to a man who had a very severe case of psorasis, it was ruining his life. On a follow up to her, he said it was working beautifully for him.

Yet it does not stop her from using botox, fillers, hair dye, excessive make-up etc.  She needs to look at her toxin intake.

Re: Kim Kardashian: Psoriasis journey

Hopefully some good comes from the publicity.  Of course, though, the Kardashians share what seems like everything, so it's just part of their big machine.
