I am curiuos what people eat who are on these eating plans.
I want to convert my diet to less carbs & I know a lot of info is on-line, just wonder exactly what people eat for meals & snacks? any desserts?

I go low carb occasionally when I want to lose a few pounds. I always eat gluten free so it is easy for me to follow.
lean meat....I prefer fish or chicken
most veggies..avoid tomatoes, corn, Lima beans and other starchy veggies
only eat a small amount of berries...no other fruit
no pasta
can use low carb bread if you need bread
Carb Smart ice cream..all flavors are good
full fat dairy like whipped cream and cheese in small amounts.
sugar free jello
sugar free cheese cake, no bottom crust. I make my own.
nuts for snacks in moderation.
avoid sugar and starchy foods.
fats are allowed no limit, but I don't go crazy with them
Menu
breaskast....bacon and eggs..coffee with cream, a few berries
snack..almonds
lunch...turkey roll ups with lettuce, mayo,or mustard, pickles and a side of green beans or a salad with protein, hard boiled eggs.
dinner....steak, chicken or fish, a green veggie and a salad.
dessert carb smart ice cream
snack. A few strawberries
i buy from a website called Netrition, but many of the items there might be found at your local grocery too. They have many things that you might be interested in.
watch the sugar free items...the ones with sorbitol will keep you " regular". Don't indulge too much at one sitting.

I'm going to try to incorporate some of the recipes in my lifestyle. I bought a book from the big A website: the Complete Ketogenic Diet for Beginners. I also do intermittent fasting.
I've lost my will to workout. I keep trying to find it. lol

I have never tried Keto, but from what I understand, you can lose weight fast, but I personally don't think it is that healthy!
I try to eat low-carb, but I do get off my diet sometimes, but jump back on! Mostly meats, cheese, butter, eggs, mostly protein foods!
For my sweet tooth, I like Atkins snacks, and they are really good, and also their protein shakes. You just have to try what is best for you, avoid anything white ...... flour, bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, sugar!

@Mary BaileyI am just like you, I do intermediate fasting, I am just not hungry, but eat bad when I do... and also lost my exercising along the way
@CarmieI am just trying to incorporate some of the aspects of this kind of eating, I still love my carbs, but need to lose a few lbs.

I eat any protein and vegetable i want
my go to snack is one teaspoon peanut butter and a square of dark chocolate
I have a chocolate banana p/b shake...so yummy
i drink lots of water and take vitamins
