@hckynut It was implied, and I thought everyone understood that. I am sorry, It is my fault

Everyone should not go on keto....I would never suggest doing it unless you check with your dr first. Anyone with kidney issues, diabetes, or other chronic conditions should never do a strict diet that eliminates an entire type of food and dramatically increases fats unless a Dr says it is okay for you. DH lost a ton of weight initially on it....he felt exhausted and looked tired and drawn. His coworkers asked if he was sick and if he was okay....that is not a healthy diet when those are the reactions! His doctor modified it to a new "eating style" and he feels much better, but is still losing weight.

Of course not.
Not only is it ineffective for long-term results, increases mortality rate.
It's a "DIET" they cannot do KETO their whole life, at some point their health will suffer, they just need to find that out the hard way, and they will, they will look back like those that took Phen-Phen and say... boy, I wish I had never done that.
There is NOBODY that can be honest with themselves and say - I eat bacon every day and think that is healthy, if they do, they know NADA about any sort of nutrition, people love meat and fatty foods so they think they love the diet and they beleive the hype because they WANT TO. Its sad, really........ LIFESTYLE CHANGE wins out every time, you gotta be able to follow it for a LIFETIME, not just to lose weight. Not worth dying early in my opinion.

Very, very, very not true.
And I have bloodwork numbers to prove it.
People like yourself are reading/listening to the wrong people. And causing fear for no reason.

FALSE. Our bodies are capable of running off of BOTH carbs or FAT.
Wow, it amazes me how uneducated a lot of people are on here regarding Keto. Very sad.

WHAT??? You go into ketosis, NOT KETOACIDOTIC. You need to Google what KETOACIDOTIC is and what ketosis is. They are NOTHING alike!

You don't eat high protein when you are on keto. You eat moderate protein and high fat. All while keeping the carbs low.
SMH.
You are very uneducated regarding keto. It's scary what you think is correct.

If I consumed all of those carbs:
Breakfast. Whole-wheat bread (1 medium slice) with 2 teaspoons jelly, 1/2 cup shredded wheat cereal with a cup of 1 percent low-fat milk, a piece of fruit, coffee
My blood sugar would be out the roof. And then, they would just put me on more meds. Thanks but no thanks. I'll keep sticking to the keto diet, which has normalized all of my numbers, including cholesterol. Fat isn't the culprit; carbs are.

If he was on keto and felt tired/exhausted, he wasn't replenishing his electrolytes (salt, potassium, magnesium). That's why you take supplements so you don't feel like ******.
I am on keto and have tons of energy. And had T2. I'm off of all meds. And I sure as heck didn't listen to my doctor. Most doctors are NOT educated in nutrition. I went on keto because I knew this would be an answer to get off of that stupid, expensive medication. And guess what?? I'm off and will never go back on. Because this is a way of life for me, not a diet.
