Just learned the connection between Peyronie’s Disease and Duputren’s Contracture

Peyronie’s Disease and  Dupuytren’s Contracture are related. About 30% of men with PD develop DC. You learn something new every day.

There is a third connective tissue disease in this family - Lederhosen's Disease. It is similar to Duputren's but it's in the feet. My husband is suffering from it.  It's awful to know there is no cure and it will only get worse.

Being female I am not risk for the one, but I had never heard of a connection.  I have curvature on a thumb that the ortho surgeon said is rare.    He keeps offering to sever them and fuse the bones.  Not too sure I want to.

Very sorry about your husband, but thank you for sharing this information. If you are able to get in, this is the most updated medical information on the condition. https://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1061903-overview
