@Luvsmyfam Better to have chills and those flu-like symptoms that will be gone in a few days than getting Shingles.

Better than having shingles.  You knew these mild could happen so why are you complaining?   Cvs cancelled my appointment, they didn't have the vaccine but I scheduled it on a Wednesday to account for some down time if I needed it.  I wanted to be ok for the weekend.  They emailed that they have all vaccines so I'll reschedule.

Why must some people be so negative and condescending in all of their posts? The OP simply shared her experience with getting a shingles vaccine. It may be helpful to someone else who reads it. I doubt that anyone really cares that someones appointment was cancelled.

@Luvsmyfam Good for you for finishing the series. Some say the second shot was even tougher for them.

Thankfully, the discomfort is temporary and will soon become a distant memory. When they pass, the reward will be protection from shingles. A win-win.

It was the same for me 2 years ago, a one day fever.

@Luvsmyfam I got Shingles in July of 2019. In January and June of 2020, I received the Shingles Vaccine. I always say the Shingles Vaccine is the 1 that kicked me down, but only for a day or 2. Not bad, I was tired, felt sick just a bit. It was better than getting Shingles though.

@Luvsmyfam   I hope that you rest and relax today and feel better tomorrow.  Make sure to stay warm and hydrated and try to get your mind off of the symptoms by watching your favorite show or movie.  I'm glad that you got the shingles vaccine though, it will help prevent you from getting shingles in the future.  If you need to call out of work tomorrow, feel free to since your health and comfort are important.  I hope you feel better and have a great rest of your weekend! Smiley HappyHeart

I feel for you @Luvsmyfam . A day off from a difficult work schedule and you have to spend it feeling unwell is hard. But think about how your being proactive will keep you from getting what I experienced 3 years ago. I had shingles. They went into my right eye, I contracted iritis and they went to my brain. I was hospitalized. I now have neurological issues from them.

Praying for a fast recovery and hope tonight you feel well.đź’•
