Hi @Reva .. My meds haven't changed. Still the same 3 Rx I've taken for several years. Even the only real change I've made to my diet is from milk to almond milk.

@Tabbycat

Please, keep on trying to stay calm.

I too knew someone who had to give blood often because of high platelet count.

Hope you get good results - soon!

Best Wishes, keep us posted.

@Tabbycat   Do you have any odd symptoms that could relate back to the blood test showing abnormally? Or do you feel perfectly normal?

Hi @Justice4all ... thanks for asking.

Gee, a little thrown at the moment.  I just logged in and saw where Lisa Mason's Gino has passed away. I'm just so saddened to see that news. God bless her... He, above, knows what's best.

According to the nurse, my JAK2 labs showed that my marrow is working fine but it doesn't rule out about about 4 other things. So, kind of still waiting.

I feel a little frustrated that I don't have a doctor right now. I've been assigned one I've never met, who reads and then orders labs. He ordered a recheck in six weeks.

I asked if it would be ok to go and donate some blood and was told to hold off on that until my recheck. Frustrated, but so far, my faith,  I've managed to stay peaceful.

Then, later last week, I got messaged from "The Chart", .... not a phone call,  that I've been scheduled for an appointment with the PA whom I met at my first visit. She seems very knowedgeable, so that is in mid July.

Hi @SeaMaiden .... Not necessarily odd symptoms other than I seem extra fatigued.

I still have what seems to be unexplained pain in my torso, front to back, that I've been dealing for about 3 years.

My PCP did call and order xrays of my spine and after results, then ordered lab test HLA-B27 checking for spondylitis, a kind of arthritis of the spine. It came back negative. So, I'm happy to know that was rulled out, too.

It would be nice to know what is causing my pain. I'll continue to be patient.

@Tabbycat   Have you had a CT scan of your torso?  That can find things going on that may never be suspect.

@SeaMaiden..... I did have a CT scan 2 years ago. It showed 2 thoracic degerative discs and a lesion.

My recent xrays ( not CT ) from last month shows 2 more beginning to degenerate, but really, very little overall change. That's when PCP ordered that spondylitis test.

I may ask him... or he may even call for further testing if this oncology/hemotology stuff doesn't show anything.

@Tabbycat

Are you eating and sleeping well? ......and stressing less?  That will help you while you are waiting.  Please keep me posted.  One question- if there are spinal/disc problems, wouldn't one consult an orthopedic/spinal specialist?
