I was experencing fever, bad cough,runny nose since last night. I took a home covid test this morning and found out I have it. I am fully vaccinated and boosted. Tomorrow morning my provider will call and then send some paxlovid for me to take. I am drinking lots of water and quarantining. This post is not intended to start a big debate just providing my own experience.

@chessylady    If you're like most of the vaccinated, you'll have a very mild case.  I hope you make a speedy recovery and that this doesn't ruin your Christmas plans.

This is why I still wear a mask in public places.

@chessylady  praying for your  speedy recovery.  My daughter has been vaccinated and boosted and she had a mild case about a month ago.

@chessylady ,

I hope it doesn't last long and you feel better within a few days!

I still haven't gotten it but most everyone in my immediate family and other relatives have.

I don't know if your dr told you but I've heard and my cousin had this experience and others I know that paxlovid does help you feel better and then as if all better but then a few days later you feel bad again. That happened to President Biden too and seems to be common.

but then you get over it again.

So maybe don't worry if that happens. Feel better!

Wishing you a speedy recovery @chessylady. My neighbors are fully vaxxed-boosted & have covid for the 4th time. I'm not vaxxed & skipped the flu shot again & I'm fine, not a sniffle in 3 years. I read they're doing a study to find out why some don't get covid when they're exposed to it, that could help lots of people so hope they find an answer soon.

Some studies indicate that paxlovid may reduce the chances of getting long covid.I live alone and I am doing my best to stay healthy.

All the best to you for a speedy recovery and mild symptoms. Looking forward to your updates.  And good with the extra volume fluid intake. Smiley Happy
