We've looked at the 'green' carpeting and most have a Scotchgard protectant on them which is a chemical. I want something natural (not wool$$$). We looked at the ones made from a polymer taken from corn. The padding that goes under them has styrene in it which contains toulene. I'm not looking out for the environment for when I dispose of the carpet. I'm looking out for my family, NOW, as this will be in the bedrooms. I've googled it-very confusing. The people at the carpet places say, 'we have alot of green carpets. We have all colors.' What's a person to do. I have good luck here so I thought I'd ask. Am I on the right thread? (no pun intended). Also thinking of vinyl laminated plank flooring. I don't know if I should risk vinyl voc's in the bedrooms. Any help is appreciated.
