@JeanLouiseFinch  You lost 155 lbs!  What a feat. You deserve a medal for self discipline.  And maintained the loss. I struggle to lose 25 lbs. You have my admiration.  I'll bet you had fun buying clothes after the loss.

I think IF works for some people because it gives structure to your day and keeps you from eating mindlessly all day and evening.  It's easy to just eat and eat.  Staying on a schedule is an easy way to cut down.

Thanks, @MoJoV   The transition in the beginning was a little challenging because we had to give our kitchen an overhaul, eliminating certain things and replacing them with new ones.  There was a lot of learning that had to take place, but I dove in and it was very well worth it and time well spent. When we began eating this new way it was originally as a diet tool, but the more we learned, and the more the weight came off, there were so many other benefits that we knew it had to be a lifestyle.  We are not suffering at all, don't feel deprived, and love eating this way.

And yes, clothes shopping has been lots of fun.

@annie57  Are you doing any type of exercise? That's the key you know. I've lost 70 lbs 4 years ago and have kept it off by walking. When I began my journey I just walked and didn't change my diet. Then I began so see the scale going down so I decided to do a carb free diet. The weight came off easily. I'm at my goal and walk twice a day, walking approx a total of 7 miles a day. I am no one special, anyone can do what I have done.

@ID2 @I    I walk three times a week and do strength training once a week for an hour. I also watch my two grandchildren four days a week so I am active.

One thing that might help is understand your own body and act accordingly. Eating/exercising according to your blood type or ayrevedic type (just a couple options) might make a difference. One size (ha!) does not fit all.
