Cucumber lemon is a favorite of mine in the summer. I also like raspberry mint.

Ball makes an infuser for your wide mouth mason jar. I have one and use frozen fruit to infuse.
Online and in stores where Ball jars are sold.

Have you seen an electrolyte water chart? Very important for hydration also. Just curious😀

Great post!
I have an infused water recipe to share, for anyone esp who has High Blood Pressure!
I got this recipe from an episode of Dr. Oz several years ago. He called it Spa Water. It was described as a DETOX type drink, but we discovered it also had anothe benefit. It lowered my mom's BP.
My mom is 94 and had elevated blood pressure, diagnosed in 2011/. She was on 2 medications to control it. A year later, her blood pressure would sometimes increase, despite a low salt diet, lots of water, etc. Her weight was perfect. She exercised. I really did not want her medication increased. I saw the recipe for Spa Water and thought why not try it? I made it for her and AMAZINGLY her blood pressure has been PERFECT ever since. Yes, she is still on the 2 medications, but they did not have to be increased in strength, nor did she need any other meds added.
Some days, her pressure actually gets a bit lower than I would like to see, around 110/60. The doctors have told us to keep her in the 120s over 70s range, as going too low in elderly people can lead to a risk for stroke. We actually scale back on the Spa Water on some days. We monitor her BP daily. Her BP has been so good in the past year, that we pretty much only give her the Spa Water 2 or 3 x day, and the rest of the time she drinks regular water, juice, and her beloved coffee. lol

Spa Water Recipe:
Ingredients:
fresh ginger -- (cut into 1/2" slices -- you need about 4 pcs)
water
1 lemon
1/2 cucumber
15 mint leaves
Directions:
Fill a pitcher half way full with freshly made Ginger Tea. (cooled).
To make the Ginger Tea, I add a few pcs of fresh ginger to a small pot (about 4 ea 1/2" pcs of ginger). I keep the ginger, pre chopped for ease, in the freezer in a zip lock bag. Add water to the pot. Bring to a boil.Turn off heat. Let steep for 20 min. COOL. Then, pour into pitcher.
To the pitcher, ADD:
1 lemon, sliced
1/2 cucumber (with skin on), sliced.
15 leaves of mint (stems incl are fine)
Put in fridge for 3+ hours before drinking.
This keeps in the fridge for 7 to 10 days, but we re-make it every 7 days.
TIP:
To avoid any bitterness, keep adding water to the pitcher after every serving. If you allow the contents to go down, the lemon pith will make the Spa Water super bitter. I just keep topping off the pitcher after every pour.
(the taste of the Spa Water is very mild. To give it a bit more flavor, I add in extra mint leaves to my glass when I drink it, but my Mom likes it as is)

My aunt (and godmother) passed away on Thursday. She was a BC survivor for 29 years, and then it came back. ![]()

I'm so sorry, @lolakimono. ![]()
I had an aunt who was a BC survivior too...she was in remission for almost 20 years, and then it came back in her spine. I posted about it on the boards here and was called a liar and told that it can't come back after that many years...but she had genetic testing done and the "new" cancer was compared to the cells from her breasts taken years earlier. So I know it happens.
Hugs to you, Lolakimono. I'm sorry for your loss. ![]()
