Info on Restor Lens in Cataract Surgery

I'm having cataract surgery soon and getting the Restor lens which will give distance and clise-up vision. Anyone have any experiences with this?

In my Left eye I have a Multi-focal iol lens similar to Restor. I don't know why my doctor chooses any particular brand and in my case it was not Restor.

I can say that it was the 1st eye done. Before having the surgery I was in the waiting room and I picked up the newspaper to read something. I could not read the print without putting on my glasses. Right after the surgery I came out into that same room, picked up the same newspaper, and I could read it very clearly.

That was, I think in 2011-2012 not sure. I was to have the R-eye done 3 weeks later, but I ended up back in the hospital with my colon bleeding issue and once again went through the Colonoscopy/Endoscopy and Double Balloon Enteroscopy procedures. Fortunately this time I only needed to drink 3 gallons of Nu/GoLytely. The doctor put in 3 Titanium clips to hold my bleeding Right Colon in tact and so far so good. This of course was me in the hospital for about 8 days.

Got my R eye eventually done with a Mono-focal iol lens and I can still read sans glasses and also see distances pretty well. Just recently had to pass an eye exam to renew my State Drivers License as those over 72 cannot renew online even though my last moving violation was in 1956 and I have never been involved in a motor vehicle accident. Been in 2 of them but I was a passenger in both of them.

The Left eye Multi-focal and the Right eye with a Mono-focal work well for me. Wish I could remember the name of the "iol lens" used on Left eye. If I come across it I was will add it to this reply.
