If you need/want to do research on the Internet in advance of your further tests, PLEASE visit reputable sites, such as the Mayo Clinic and others, like @jubilant posted above.
There are a lot of sites that may contain misinformation and the 'worse case scenario'.
Do your body and mind a favor by not creating unnecessary anxiety and stress.
Hoping for a good outcome, keep us posted!

My biggest fear is some little something being picked up on an annual visit and it having to be investigated further. It happens to all of us as we age, and most of these issues result in nothing more than a monitor. Very frustrating, but I guess we should appreciate doctors that want to investigate further. I agree with some of the posters here about getting on the internet. Keep your head on straight or the internet will have you on your death bed.

@domel I have issues with my pancreas and I have all of your issues with my liver and kidney. I see several doctors but my main doctor is from MSKCC because of my pancreatic issues. He also deals with my liver. Those are his specialties. I've had growths for at least 5-6 on my liver. I now get an MRI yearly and he watches both pancreas and liver. He say's, not to worry about these issues. We're watching them and so far they are common, So, as you see, I've been monitored for awhile and I'm okay. Try not to go online to much, It never makes one feel better, only worse. I tell that to my husband, my friends and my kids. Everyone comes to me for medical information.
Again, I know this is scary and to tell you not to jump the gun, is useless. Only now, I know where you're coming from. Do breathing exercises to get you through this tough times. The not knowing exactly what you have, is a killer but you can do it! The Liver is an organ that can be dealt with in many ways. We're always here for you to vent. As I have said in the past, the QVC posters are the best. Use us!
My heart is with you and I'm praying for you. Try, try, try to be positive. Negativity, only makes things worse!😉
Again, this is only coming from my experience.

I've had a hemangioma on top of my liver for years-dont worry yourself too much-just a cluster of blood vessels; my biopsy was very quick and a relief to me.
It's hard to have to wait for test news, just try to take it day by day.

About 4 years ago I had to have a test done for possible uterine cancer and while doing that test, they found a cyst on my liver.
I had a liver enzyme test done which came back fine and an ultrasound done which revealed 3 cysts on my liver, all of which are what they called simple cysts. I was told they are common and many people have them but have no idea they have them. THey are usually found when a secondary test is done on some other part of the body.
I have an ultrasound done yearly however there has been no change and I have no symptoms from this at all. My PCP told me we will do one more ultasound this year and if there is no change, we aren't going to do anymore unless I have issues.

@domel I'm 66. The doctor's first discovered my pancreatic problem in 2001. I had the problem for years and years before the discovery. Hence, slow growing! My first surgery was in 2001 and second surgery, 2011 and my liver checked out, each time. If the growths are small, the removal can be done very easily. I unfortunately, was not that lucky. So, as you can see, it's not always bleak. I get an endoscopic ultrasound by a GI Specialist, every 2 years, aside from the MRI's. As long as you are monitored and continue to have the proper tests done, you will be well taken care of. Ask your doctor's as many question as you like. Write them down and always take someone with you to the doctor's office. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Hopefully, I can help and maybe put you a little more at ease, if that's possible.
Again, it's scary till you know what you are dealing with. Even then, it's still scary but you are not alone!
