Aha...but that is exactly what the government is doing. Two of the doctors that were at the pain establishment I went to for my medication were put through a lot of pressure from the DEA to stop prescribing medication even if the patient needed it. The two MD's are the nicest, most compassionate men one could be lucky enough to have treat them. The fear of losing their license put them in the position of no longer helping the people they cared about.

Look for a new MD or hospital. I am over 65, spent a week in the hospital in November and I was treated incredibly well, no complaints at all.

I was not allowed visitors because of contagion so the staff spent time with me. I could not have asked for better treatment.

I have never heard of this law, until now. I had script filled first of this year, insurance covered it. How much is it if you have to pay for all of it? Anyone know? I have to go to my dr and pick up script every time I want it filled. But tha has been for over a year I think

@shoekitty It's not a law just a policy a lot of insurance companies are adopting for 2018. If you ever want to know how much your prescription will cost, go to GoodRx and they will show you what the price is at pharmacies in your area.

The guy who paid out of pocket for his wife's 30 day script was about $75-80 dollars without the insurance.

Opiates are not for everyone, but they have been godsend to me when I was in deep pain. Id much rather take the natural herb cannabis for pain. It is very effective for all types of ailments and certain strains even kill cancer cells. Medical grade marijuana is an excellent alternative to opiates. May is become legal worldwide.
