Re: I made some kale chips yesterday.

I like kale chips sometimes, though I prefer green bean 'fries'. Not the battered or breaded kind. The kind you either cook straight in oil, or toss in olive oil and bake until they are krispy. This takes a while to get them good and crunchy, and they aren't pretty to look at, but I think they are quite yummy. If you've tried kale chips and didn't care for them, you might give the ugly green bean 'fries' a try.

We LOVE kale at our house! I've introduced many guests to a kale salad or kale sauté, I've bought chips, a little too high in sodium for my taste, so will try baking and add sea salt. Thx!

This sounds so good, esp. with the coconut oil!

Re: I made some kale chips yesterday.

I tried the chips for the first time and used EVOO. They were pretty good but, like most people are saying, not all were crisp. Only the crisp are good. And, maybe I just got a lousy bag of kale, but there were a bunch of the pieces that had tiny black spots that I assumed were either bug chewed or diseased. Pretty icky eh.

We tried the kale chips and they were crunchy; however, just too bitter for us.

Iam4truth, do you use fresh green beans and how long do you back them? TIA
