Thank you and yes that can def. happen. Thats kind of what I was doing until I found a helpful forum. Now I just have to make some decisions and deal with insurance.

Well thank you for sharing. Did you have the surgery? Just my dr. talking about that alone was pretty scary. And yes I am hearing horror stories about the insurance too. I want a second opinion....we will see how that goes. All the best of luck to you , I will keep you in my prayers. It sounds like this is going to be a long road.

Sorry you've been diagnosed with something serious like this may be but, from experience I can tell you to stay away from the internet.  If you are playing the waiting game right now waiting for test results, etc., you're only going to make things worse as far as your nerves if you go investigating the diagnosis on the internet.  I know from experience where your mind will go and its not to a good place.  Get the info from your doctor and not the 'net.'

My husband was diagnosed with GIST  OCT 9th.  He had surgery. NO symtoms till he was in pain when the tumor burst. He is taking Gleevec and as far as we know doing well.  Wont really know till his next scan. Scary please keep posting and staying in touch. I will pray, and hope your doing well.  My husband was stage 3b when diagnosed

Dear@Teri,  I don't know anything about your illness, but I do know this: Once this gets out, you will have a lot of people here  on these Boards who will listen to you and pray for you.  So, you can rely on that for support.  When you get scared, think of all the people sending up prayers with your name---all requesting that you have the most special care and treatment.

Keep us posted.  Tune in whenever, wherever.

Hi.  I'm checking in on you to see how you are doing?   How do things stand right now?  

I see some others here gave you some positive input, so hang onto those kinds of thoughts.  

Let us know how you are doing.  I hope you get the best medical team around to explain things and to heal you @TeriK.  I passed the word to a lady on the boards who knows a religious community that prays for people.  So, you are receiving a lot of good spiritual support
